On October 29, the Guangdong Online Approval and Supervision Platform for Investment Projects showed that the hydrogen production project of the Guangzhou International Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park had passed the filing review.

The total investment for the project is 350 million yuan.

Project scale and content: The intended land for this project is planned to be allocated in the southern part of the Guangzhou International Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park (south of the Hyundai Motor project and north of the Guangdong Petrochemical Ethylene Plant), with a total land area of 43,827 square meters. The project construction is divided into two parts: a hydrogen production project using natural gas or methanol, and hydrogen energy industry innovation center project. For hydrogen production, it is designed to have a production capacity of 4,000 Nm³/h, utilizing steam reforming of natural gas or methanol to produce hydrogen with a purity of ≥99.99%. For the hydrogen energy industry innovation center, it primarily involves the construction of production and R&D buildings for hydrogen energy and new energy industries, as well as high-end equipment manufacturing workshops. The plan includes the construction of 6 production and R&D buildings, with a total floor area of 38,250 square meters.

The construction entity is Guangzhou Hengyun Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd.

The project period is from December 1, 2026, to December 1, 2028.
