In September 2016, China imported 72.69 thousand tons of vinyl chloride (VCM), with the average price stood at USD614.48/t, decreased by 2.96% to the previous transaction volume, compared with the same period last year increased by 31.99%. Imports of VCM were mainly for Taiwan Province, Japan and South Korea, with the volume for each being 13040 tons, 44823.923 tons and 14204.931 tons, respectively, accounted for 18.09%, 62.20% and 19.71%.

In September 2016, China imported of 70.57 thousand tons of EDC, with the average price being USD259.16/t, increased by 13.18% in volume, and compared with the same period last year increased by 43.44%. September imports of EDC supplies were mainly from the United States, Saudi Arabia and South Korea, the U.S. import volume of 56427.302 tons of imported EDC, Saudi Arabia and South Korea EDC volume was 5238.525 tons and 8901.32 tons, respectively, accounted for 79.97%, 7.42% and 12.61%.
