The German chemical giant, BASF released that: the group is planning to restart the 300 thousand tons of TDI plant in Ludwigshafen in the next few weeks.

According to the relevant person in charge of BASF: as a result of production problems, the device has been parking since last November 22nd. It is reported that the group of technical personnel have completed the analysis of the problem of equipment, and the implementation of the relevant security measures. BASF also added: Although the group has ordered a new TDI reactor, but given its long delivery time, so the group will be on the fault equipment maintenance in order to restore the global supply of TDI and the new device is expected to be officially put into operation in 2018.
