September marked as the traditional selling season of chemical market. The prices of all chemical products continued to rise. Impacted by hurricanes in the United States, stock and future goods of raw materials witnessed upward movement. During 31st August to 14th September, the chemical price index (CCPI) released by Chemical Online closed at 5050 points, increasing by 4.4%. Among the 160 products in the statistics, 107 products were increased, accounting for 66.9% of the total number of products; 22 products were decreased, accounting for 13.8%. 31 products stayed at the same level, accounting for 19.3% of the total number of products.

Hurricane Harvey roared over the Gulf of Mexico that brought a greater impact to global chemical market. Another Hurricane Irma has made landfall in the United States and transportations needed to be resumed. Besides, Japan also suffered from intensive hurricane.

Domestic market were active due to the peak season of chemical market. The coming 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the National Day Holiday will influence chemical production and transportation. With increasing demands, the market will continue to grow.
