SEOUL (Reuters) - South Korea′s SK Innovation (096770.KS) , the largest oil corporation in South Korea, said on October 11th it had acquired Dow Chemical Co′s (DOW.N) Polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) business in a bid to boost its efforts to lead high-value added chemical markets.
SK Global Chemical Co Ltd, a unit of SK Innovation, signed the acquisition deal worth $100 million, SK Innovation said in a filing to the stock exchange. No more details had been released.
In the early of this year, SK Global Chemical took over Dow’s EAA business, valued of $370 million. It will invest another KRW 3 trillion for chemical products and batteries of electric vehicles.
