The Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently announced the list of major provincial projects for 2024. There are 1,593 key projects on the list, with a total investment of 4.28 trillion yuan and an annual planned investment of 680.7 billion yuan. Among them, there are more than 160 projects related to chemicals, including ethylene, new energy lithium batteries, photovoltaics, energy storage, and new materials.

Among the 1,355 key projects under construction, there are more than 130 projects related to chemicals, including Fujian Gulei Petrochemical1.5 million tons/year ethylene and downstream deep processing complex project，Fujian Energy Petrochemical Group Co.,Ltd relocation project of the chlor-alkali area，Zhangzhou Gulei carbon five and carbon nine separation and downstream new material project，Zhangzhou Gulei chlor-alkali area relocation project - 200,000 tons/year vinyl acetate project, Fuqing Wanhua Fujian Industrial Park MDI integrated capacity expansion supporting project - gas expansion transformation project, etc.

In addition, there are 238 preparatory key projects, including 33 projects related to petrochemicals, such as the second phase of the refining and chemical integration project in Gulei Development Zone and the new 1 million tons/year ethylene project in Huian Zhonghua Quanzhou.
