Recently, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has successively approved the environmental impact reports for 800,000 tons per year coal-to-olefins project in Wu Caiwan, Zhundong by Xinjiang Shanneng Chemical Co., Ltd., and 800,000 tons per year coal-to-olefins project by Xinjiang Dongming Plastics Co., Ltd.£¬ indicating that the two projects have successfully passed the environmental impact assessment approval and laid a solid foundation for the follow-up work.
In addition to the approval of the above two coal-to-olefin projects, Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone has also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shaanxi Investment Group Co., Ltd., covering the field of coal chemical industry. The two parties have decided to establish a joint venture to jointly carry out energy projects, promote the development of coal-electricity integration, cogeneration and other projects, and invest in the construction of coal-to-olefin, methanol, coal resource exploration and development, comprehensive utilization of fly ash, brackish water, coal gangue and other projects.
Shaanxi Coal Industry Co., Ltd also has new dynamic: on January 19, 2024, the website of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has issued announcements, approving the environmental impact reports for the olefins, aromatics, and deep processing engineering of the 15 million tons per year coal fractionation clean and efficient conversion demonstration project of Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd of Shaanxi Coal Group.
In addition, the China Coal Pingshuo Coal-Based Olefin New Material and Downstream Deep Processing Integration Project has obtained 33 approvals from the Shanxi Provincial ¡®Two High¡¯ Project on the preliminary review opinions of the industry authorities, environmental protection authorities, and energy conservation authorities, and water resources demonstration and the water resources impact assessment of the Shentou Spring Area. The project has completed the social stability risk assessment and the feasibility study of the project has passed the third-party expert review, and it meets the conditions for submission. According to the industrial development policy document jointly issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and six other departments, efforts are being made to promote the project¡äs application into the planning.
