Guangxi Huayi 750,000 tons/year Propylene & Downstream Deep Processing Project Review

On February 2nd, Guangxi Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd. organized an energy-saving review and acceptance meeting for the 750,000 tons/year propylene and downstream deep processing integration project. The expert team agreed that the 750,000 tons/year propylene and downstream deep processing project, as well as the 200,000 tons/year bisphenol A project, have passed the energy-saving review and acceptance.
a. 750,000 tons/year PDH unit
On February 21, 2023, the Guangxi Huayi¡¯s propane dehydrogenation project was put into operation. The facility was launched on site on January 8, 2021, followed by intermediate handover on October 15, 2022.
This project is the first propane dehydrogenation unit in China to be built adopting UOP process technology under the engineering EPC general contracting mode, with the largest single series scale. It mainly includes 23 units, including heating furnace, reaction and heat combination unit, fractionation unit, cold box unit, PSA unit, propylene intermediate tank area and supporting substation, cabinet room, etc.
b. Propylene and downstream deep processing project
The company¡äs 750,000 tons/year propylene and downstream deep processing project is located in the Petrochemical Industry Park of Qinzhou Port Economic and Technological Development Zone in Qinzhou City, Guangxi, covering an area of 55.27 hectares. With a total investment of 87.2644 million yuan, the project includes a 750,000 ton/year PDH unit, a 300,000 ton/year butanol unit, two 200,000 ton/year acrylic acid and ester units, and three 33,000 ton/year polyacrylate-based superabsorbent polymer (SAP) devices.
