Recently, the demand for caustic soda in Northwest Europe has shown a slight decline. At the end of 2023, the available supply of caustic soda in Europe decreased compared with the same period of last year, with the alkali supplies in Eastern Europe becoming increasingly tight mainly due to the ongoing maintenance of some production facilities.
