On May 11th, Hubei Funolin New Materials Co., Ltd. announced the completion of the annual production line and integrated project (Phase II) of 25,000 tons of vinylidene fluoride polymer.

Invested at 9.494832 million yuan, the project is located in Qianjiang Economic Development Zone. After completion, it can produce a total of 25,000 ton/year polyvinylidene fluoride polymer (PVDF), 27,000 ton/year of vinylidene fluoride (VDF), 45,000 ton/year of by-product dichloroethane (F-142b), 2800 ton/year high boiling substance, 162,500 ton/year hydrochloric acid, 6750 ton/year sodium hypochlorite, 1250 ton/year vinylidene fluoride polymer and other external products per year.

After the completion of the first phase of the project, it can produce 12,500 ton/year polyvinylidene fluoride polymer (PVDF), 13,500 ton/year vinylidene fluoride (VDF), 22,500 ton/year by-product dichloroethane (F-142b), 1400 ton/year high boiling substance, 81,250 ton/year hydrochloric acid, 3375 ton/year sodium hypochlorite, 625 ton/year external products such as vinylidene fluoride polymer. The project was completed and publicly announced in January 2023. 

The second phase project is expected to produce 12,500 ton/year polyvinylidene fluoride polymer (PVDF) and 13,500 ton/year vinylidene fluoride (VDF) annually, as well as 22,500 ton/year by-product dichloroethane (F-142b), 1400 ton/year high boiling substance, 81,250 ton/year hydrochloric acid, 3375 ton/year sodium hypochlorite, 625 ton/year external products such as vinylidene fluoride polymer. The project started construction on March 1, 2023 and was completed on November 1, 2023. The environmental protection measures have been completed.
