On May 15th, during the National Low-Carbon Day event jointly hosted by the Chongqing Ecology and Environment Bureau, Chongqing Development and Reform Commission, and other departments, the Chuanwei Chemical Industry′s 3,000 cubic meters per hour hydrogen fuel purification project was awarded the title of "2023 Chongqing Green and Low-Carbon Case."

The Chuanwei Chemical Industry′s 3,000 cubic meters per hour hydrogen fuel purification project utilizes hydrogen produced as a by-product from natural gas cracking as its raw material. After being purified through processes such as temperature swing adsorption and pressure swing adsorption, it can supply society with over 6,000 kilograms of high-purity hydrogen with a purity of 99.999% per day, meeting the hydrogen filling needs of 300 to 600 hydrogen-fueled buses. This project is currently one of the most advanced in terms of technology, most economical in operating costs, and most environmentally friendly in production processes in China. It is also the largest integrated hydrogen supply and hydrogenation project for hydrogen fuel cells in Southwest China by Sinopec. After expert evaluation, public notification, and other processes, the project was successfully selected for the 2023 Chongqing Green and Low-Carbon Typical Case Collection Activity.
