The New Material Project of Jizhong Energy Group has Started Construction
2024-5-21
The new material project of nitrate salt energy storage with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons of Jizhong Energy Group started construction in Fengfeng Mining Area on May 15th. After the completion of the project, it will annually produce 180,000 tons of sodium nitrite, 120,000 tons of sodium nitrate, and 100,000 tons of potassium nitrate, with an estimated annual sales revenue of 1.17 billion yuan.
The project is in Fengfeng Mining Area, covering an area of about 194 mu (about 12.9 hectares) with a total investment of 890 million yuan. After its completion, Fengfeng Mining Area will become the largest domestic production base of nitro-molten salt energy storage materials, and the domestic market share of two sodium products will reach 30-40%.
In recent years, Jizhong Energy Group has consistently focused on its primary responsibilities and core businesses, regarding the chemical new material sector as an important direction for industrial transformation. It has actively planned the industrial layout of coal chemical industry, chlor-alkali chemical industry, salt chemical industry, and glass fiber new material. Consecutively, it has built three ten-billion-yuan industrial chains in Shijiazhuang Circular Chemical Industry Park, including coal chemical industry, chlor-alkali chemical industry, and glass fiber new material, creating a green development industrial cluster for high-end chemical new materials in central and southern Hebei. In the Handan region, based on Feng Coal Coking Company and Shexian Jinniu Tiantie Company, it has successively planned industrial chain projects such as cyclohexanol, cyclohexane dehydrogenation, and the nitrate salt project. This 300,000-ton/year nitrate salt energy storage new material project is a precursor to the planned industrial cluster and the first implemented project to extend and strengthen the industrial chain.
