Environmental Impact Assessment of Sanming Gold Fluoride Chemical Electronic Grade Hydrofluoric Acid Project

On May 23rd, Fujian Environmental Impact Assessment Network released the environmental impact assessment information for the fluorine containing new materials and clean production improvement project of Fujian Sanming Jin Fluorine Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.

Located in the Huangsha New Materials Recycling Industrial Park in Sanyuan District, Sanming City, the project is designed to expand and upgrade clean production within the existing factory area, purchase AHF intermediate tanks, arsenic removal towers, distillation tower stills, distillation towers, coolers and other equipment, and develop an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons of electronic grade hydrofluoric acid. Meanwhile, adjustments will be made to the existing project wastewater treatment methods. An annual capacity of 80,100 tons of wastewater will be treated, resulting in the production of by-products such as liquid polymeric ferric chloride, liquid polymeric aluminum ferric chloride and solid polymeric aluminum ferric chloride.

Fujian Sanming Gold Fluorine Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2014, with a total investment of 190 million yuan and a total area of approximately 76 acres. It is a technology-based modern enterprise dedicated to the research and production of fluorine gas, fluorine-containing new materials, fluorides, and special chemicals.

The main projects include the first phase production of 10000 tons of potassium fluotitanate, 6000 tons of potassium fluoborate, and 4000 tons of potassium fluorosilicate and other fine fluoride salt projects, and the second phase production of 510 tons of iodine pentafluoride and fluorine nitrogen gas projects annually. The company mainly manufactures products such as potassium fluorotitanate, potassium fluoroborate, potassium fluorosilicate, iodine pentafluoride, and fluorine nitrogen mixture, which are widely used in the material products industry such as aluminum titanium boron alloy and artificial mica. The product is exported to countries such as the United States, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, India, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.
