Jiangxi Province Takes 10 Measures to Build Lithium Battery New Energy Industry Chain

Recently, Jiangxi Province issued the "Several Measures on Promoting the High-quality Development of Lithium Battery New Energy Industry Chain in Our Province" (hereinafter referred to as the "Measures"), clarifying specific actions to promote the development of lithium battery new energy industry chain from 10 aspects, including continuously strengthening the industrial chain and accelerating the building of advanced manufacturing clusters.
In terms of continuously strengthening the industrial chain, the "Measures" propose to strengthen and refine the advantageous fields such as basic lithium salts, anode materials, separators, and electrolytes. It also aims to enhance the layout in key areas such as cathode materials, power batteries, and energy storage batteries, and improve the supporting capabilities in areas such as battery cell and module manufacturing, and power management systems. Jiangxi Province will also cultivate and introduce new lithium battery industry chains such as solid-state batteries to seize the forefront market. It will provide financial subsidies ranging from 2 million to 10 million yuan for key projects in the field of basic materials and other industrial foundations of the industry chain.
Regarding accelerating the building of advanced manufacturing clusters, the "Measures" propose to support Yichun, Xinyu, and Ganzhou to build core areas for industrial development, promote the concentration of resources such as projects, technology, capital, and talents in the core areas, and create national advanced manufacturing clusters in the field of lithium batteries.
In terms of strengthening technological innovation-driven development, the "Measures" propose to deepen scientific and technological cooperation with major research institutions, strengthen comprehensive utilization technologies such as total factor separation of lithium-containing ceramic clay ore, high-value utilization of feldspar powder, harmless and resourceful treatment of lithium smelting slag, and key technological breakthroughs in areas such as lithium-ion batteries, solid-state batteries, new energy storage batteries, and their materials.
In terms of ensuring the safe development of the industry, the "Measures" encourage strong enterprises to "go global" and support enterprises to invest in key resources and smelting projects such as lithium, cobalt, and nickel at home and abroad.
