In recent years, Huai′an Industrial Park has always insisted on developing the polyurethane industry as a strategic measure for comprehensive transformation. Focusing on leading enterprises and terminal products, the park strives to promote the development of industrial clusters with the best industrial ecology, and the best business environment, aiming to seize the commanding heights of future competition.

Relying on the industrial foundation and resource advantages, the polyurethane industry chain in the park has initially taken shape and has distinct characteristics in various subdivisions of the industry. With the capacity release of BYD commercial vehicles and surrounding photovoltaic projects, the new polyurethane materials used can be sourced and processed locally, and the agglomeration effect of the polyurethane industry in the park has begun to emerge.

The park has a Huai′an Polyurethane New Material Industrial Park, which is a professional polyurethane park integrating scientific research, incubation, production, and manufacturing. The project covers an area of 600 acres and can rely on the rich underground rock salt resources in Huai′an to effectively utilize upstream raw materials such as propylene oxide and polyether polyols in the Huai′an Industrial Park. After the completion of the project, it will attract more than 50 polyurethane new material enterprises to settle in, achieving an annual sales revenue of 11 billion yuan and a profit of about 1.6 billion yuan.
