On April 19th, the 250,000-ton polyester staple fiber project of Xinjiang Korla Zhongtai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. went into operation in Korla, Xinjiang, which will become the largest polyester staple fiber production base in the northwest region. The project produces polyester staple fibers, which are mainly used in the cotton textile industry due to their excellent heat resistance, thermal stability, and insulation properties. They can be used for single spinning or blended spinning with cotton, viscose fibers, linen, and wool.

Currently, Xinjiang Zhongtai Group has deepened cooperation with local enterprises, creating a new pattern of coupling, circular complementarity, and coordinated development among chlor-alkali, thermal power, upstream raw materials, downstream viscose fibers, and textile industrial clusters. This is conducive to promoting the significant development of Xinjiang′s textile and clothing industry.
