100000 tons of Polycrystalline Silicon Project Launched in Xinjiang

On June 29th, the 2024 major project commencement ceremony of the Eighth Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps in Shihezi City kicked off in Shihezi Development Zone and Shihutan Chemical New Materials Industrial Park.
Among them, 21 major projects started to be put into operation, including Daquan Energy¡äs annual production of 300000 tons of industrial silicon, 100000 tons of polycrystalline silicon, and 2000 box transformer inverters, Tianshan Aluminum¡äs 1.4 million tons of electrolytic aluminum green and low-carbon energy efficiency improvement project, and Zhongqing Photovoltaic¡äs annual production of 6GW photovoltaic cells project, with a total investment of 34.37 billion yuan.
Daquan Energy announced on December 14th that the company had signed an investment agreement for the Daquan Energy Silicon Based New Materials Industrial Park project with the People¡äs Government of Shihezi City, the Management Committee of Shihezi Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Xinjiang Tianfu Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement").
According to the agreement, Daquan Energy plans to invest 15 billion yuan in the construction of an annual production of 100000 tons of polycrystalline silicon and supporting 300000 tons of industrial silicon and 2.2 million round silicon cores project in Shihezi City. The project will be constructed in two phases.
Under the management of Fuyao Energy, a subsidiary of Zhongqing Group, Zhongqing 6GW photovoltaic cell project was just signed on April 24th 2024. The planned investment for this project is 2.1 billion yuan, with a land area of 300 acres. It is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025. After the project is completed, it is expected to have an annual output value of about 3 billion yuan and tax revenue of 100 million yuan, creating 1000 employment opportunities.
