Recently, Dazhou City in Sichuan Province has signed contracts with renowned enterprises for 12 cooperative projects, injecting new momentum into the development of its energy and chemical industry with a goal of reaching a 100- billion level, thereby strengthening and supplementing the industrial chain in this sector.

Based on its abundant resources of natural gas, sulfur, lithium, potassium, and others, Dazhou has delved deeply into fields such as fine natural gas chemicals, phosphorus and sulfur chemicals, lithium batteries, potassium fertilizers, energy storage, and hydrogen energy. It has already attracted several prominent enterprises to establish major industrial projects with a total planned investment exceeding 10 billion yuan, marking the initial formation of a new development paradigm featuring clusters of high-end chemicals and clean energy within the energy and chemical industry. In 2023, the energy and chemical industry in Dazhou achieved an output value of 68 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth of 17.2%.
