Recently, at the Xiangqiong Advanced Manufacturing Co construction Industrial Park located in Dongfang City, Hainan Province, the signing ceremony for the concentrated start of projects in July 2024 kicked off in Dongfang City. On that day, the Oriental Municipal Government signed contracts with Mingyang Smart Energy Group and Envision Group respectively for the Mingyang Offshore Wind Power Hydrogen Production and Hydrogen Energy Comprehensive Utilization Demonstration and Million-ton Green Electricity Hydrogen Ammonia Alcohol Demonstration Project, as well as the Envision Zero Carbon Wind Power Supporting Equipment Manufacturing Base Industry Chain Project.

Mingyang Smart Energy Group will invest in the construction of Mingyang Offshore Wind Power Hydrogen Production and Hydrogen Energy Comprehensive Utilization Demonstration and Million ton Green Electricity Hydrogen Ammonia Alcohol Demonstration Project in Dongfang City, including the construction of CZ9′s 900,000 kW offshore wind power, biomass high-temperature gasification base, green electricity hydrogen production supporting equipment, annual production of 100,000 tons of green methanol equipment, and surplus electricity grid connection supporting facilities.

Mingyang Group′s Dongfang CZ9 offshore wind farm demonstration project is located in eastern waters of Hainan Province, with a total installed capacity of 1500 megawatts and developed in two phases. This is the first demonstration project for the three-dimensional development of ocean energy in Hainan as a leading benchmark for affordable offshore wind power demonstration in China. It will be built into a three-dimensional innovative development demonstration project for ocean energy in the era of no subsidies, featuring "offshore wind power+ocean pasture+seawater hydrogen production".
