In response to the national green development strategy and promote industrial water efficiency through wastewater recycling and support new industrialization, the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a notice on the collection of typical cases of industrial wastewater recycling in 2024, focusing on key industries such as steel, petrochemicals, textiles, papermaking, and food, as well as key areas such as data centers, to collect a number of typical cases of wastewater recycling, covering such aspects as water use process recycling, regional industry city integration, smart water use control, technological equipment innovation, and collaborative pollution reduction and carbon decrease.

This solicitation is not only aimed at industrial enterprises and parks, but also encourages wastewater recycling technology, processes, and equipment service providers to jointly apply with application units. Then, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will organize experts to review and select cases submitted from various regions, and publish them. Later, efforts will be made to promote and publicize typical cases, while providing support for equipment updates and technological transformations.

According to experts, it is an important way to guide enterprises and parks to improve the reuse rate of water and achieve efficient utilization of water resource and reduce environmental pollution by promoting the selection and application of industrial wastewater recycling cases. It is also conducive to advancing the technological transformation and upgrading of related industries and further boosting the green development of industry.
