Progress on the photovoltaic (PV) renewal project of Southeast Electrochemical
2024-7-30
In recent years, Southeast Electrochemical has consistently adhered to green development, and the PV renewal project launched by the Equipment Management Department in 2024 is also one of them. The project kicked off on June 20th, with the completion of the PV installation at the 31st substation on July 10th, followed by the completion of the PV installation at the old caustic soda production building (Phase I) on July 15th. On July 22nd, the PV installation at the 32nd substation was successfully connected to the grid and started generating electricity, marking the successful completion of the 2024 PV renewal project.
This new PV project has installed a total of 871 monocrystalline silicon PV modules, each with a capacity of 300Wp, resulting in a total installed capacity of 261.3kWp. Assuming an annual generation time of 1,267 hours, combined with the power generation efficiency of the PV components and the overall system efficiency, the project is expected to generate approximately 257,900 kWh of electricity annually. This will save the company approximately RMB 167,600 in electricity costs each year, marking a solid step forward in promoting the development of green energy within the company.
