The second public announcement of the environmental impact assessment for the methane chloride environmental protection improvement technology renovation project of Jiangxi Lee & Man Chemical Co., Ltd. The project was first announced on May 8th, with specifics as follows:
Project Name: Methane Chloride Environmental Protection Improvement Technology Transformation Project.
Construction nature: technical renovation.
Construction unit: Jiangxi Lee & Man Chemical Co., Ltd.
Construction location: Matou Industrial City, Ruichang Economic Development Zone, Jiangxi Province.
Project investment: Approximately 150 million yuan for technical transformation, including 22.75 million yuan for environmental protection investment.
Construction content and scale: Equipped with a CTC conversion chloroform unit, Jiangxi Lee & Man has four sets of 40,000 tons/year methane chloride production units in its "160,000 tons/year methane chloride project". Under this project, the existing CTC to chloroform conversion unit will be shut down and a new CTC to tetrachloroethylene conversion unit will be built in the southwest corner of the factory area. The original CTC conversion of 5201.4t/a chloroform has been upgraded to CTC conversion of 20000t/a tetrachloroethylene.
