Recently, Fujian Zhongjing Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is making rapid progress in the construction of its third 1 million ton/year PDH project, which is expected to be handed over for inspection and acceptance in mid-September. Meanwhile, the fourth polypropylene plant has entered the debugging stage, and both plants are expected to be put into operation by the end of this year. By then, Zhongjing Petrochemical will become the world′s largest single-plant production base for propylene and polypropylene.

The third PDH plant of Zhongjing Petrochemical has a total investment of 4 billion yuan, with an annual output value of up to 10 billion yuan, which can drive the annual output value of the downstream industrial chain to 20 billion yuan. The project introduces the world′s most advanced propane dehydrogenation to propylene technology and patents from Lummus Technology of the United States, providing high-purity propylene raw materials required by the polypropylene plant in the Zhongjing Petrochemical industrial chain, further improving the internal circulation of the enterprise′s industrial chain.

In addition to producing 1 million tons of high-purity propylene raw materials annually, the plant can also produce 50,000 tons of hydrogen by-products annually, providing raw materials for Zhongjing Petrochemical′s C4 industry. This will provide strong support for Zhongjing Petrochemical′s green development and strengthening and expanding its C4 industrial chain.
