On August 8, Guangdong Construction Engineering Group announced that its subsidiary, Guangdong Yueshuidian Energy Investment Group Co., Ltd., had recently signed a "Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement for the Integrated Wind Power-Hydrogen Production-Green Methanol Synthesis Project" with the People′s Government of Huanan County, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, Heilongjiang Hongzhan Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and Jiangsu Dafu Integrated Equipment Technology Co., Ltd. The agreement aims to jointly develop an integrated wind power-hydrogen production-green methanol synthesis project in Huanan County, with a total investment of approximately RMB 14 billion. The project includes the construction of a centralized wind power project and a green methanol production facility with an annual capacity of 500,000 tons.

The total investment for the project is approximately RMB 14 billion, with plans to build a green methanol production facility capable of producing 500,000 tons annually. Phase I of the project involves an overall investment of RMB 7 billion, encompassing the construction of a 0.85GW centralized wind power project (including grid integration and methanol production for green electricity), along with a supporting green methanol production facility with an annual capacity of 250,000 tons. Phase II plans to expand the integrated wind power-hydrogen production-green methanol synthesis project based on local industrial planning and project operation conditions.
