China Tianying Signs 150,000 Tons/Year Green Hydrogen Project

2024-8-16

On the evening of August 13, China Tianying announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Liaoyuan Tianying Hydrogen Production Technology Co., Ltd., had signed the "Green Hydrogen Project Investment Cooperation Agreement" with the Liaoyuan High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee.

Main Contents of the Agreement:
Project Construction Content: Construction and operation of green hydrogen production facilities and supporting infrastructure.
Plant Design Capacity: Annual production of 150,000 tons of green hydrogen, with phased construction. The first phase will have a capacity of 40,000 tons of green hydrogen per year.
Total Project Investment: RMB 4.85 billion.
Project Site Selection: Chemical Industry Park, Liaoyuan High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

It is reported that in October 2023, China Tianying signed a cooperation framework agreement with the People¡äs Government of Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province, to achieve green remediation of abandoned mines through gravity energy storage and develop an integrated project encompassing wind, photovoltaic, energy storage, hydrogen, ammonia, and alcohol production. In June 2024, China Tianying announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Dongfeng Guaneng Wind Power Company, would cooperate with the People¡äs Government of Dongfeng County, Liaoyuan City, to develop and invest in a 328,900-kw wind power project in the western region of Dongfeng County, marking the first phase of the implementation of the integrated Liaoyuan project.

China Tianying stated that the green hydrogen project invested and constructed in Liaoyuan would utilize local high-quality wind and solar energy as the primary sources for hydrogen production. Through mature water electrolysis technology, the project aims to achieve efficient and stable green hydrogen production, fostering a virtuous cycle of green energy production and local consumption. By establishing a comprehensive industrial ecosystem spanning wind, photovoltaic, energy storage, hydrogen production, and alcohol manufacturing, this project will usher in a new era of hydrogen utilization and green electricity conversion in Liaoyuan City, aligning closely with the company¡äs dual-engine development strategy of "environmental protection + new energy."
