Hunan Petrochemical Advances the Development of High-performance Epoxy Resin Projects

On August 14th, at the construction site of the annual output of 170,000 tons of high-performance epoxy resin project of Sinopec Hunan Petrochemical Resin Department, nearly a hundred engineers from the construction unit, Sinopec Fourth Construction Company braved the scorching sun, maintaining the slope of the foundation pit, building car washing tanks, watering and doing dust removal while supervision personnel performed their respective duties to do a good job in the preliminary work of the ground management project.

The project adopts the "E+P+C" (design+procurement+construction) construction mode. The site leveling construction was completed in early July, and then the pile foundation engineering and ground management engineering construction was started. As the ground hardening and soilless construction are being intensified, it is planned to complete the civil engineering and installation of the main unit in late 2024 and achieve overall mechanical completion by the end of 2025.

This project adopts the liquid epoxy resin production technology, water-based epoxy resin production technology, hydrogenated bisphenol A epoxy resin production technology, epoxy resin composite material production technology, and chlorine sodium full cycle green technology independently developed by Hunan Petrochemical. It will build one set of liquid epoxy resin plant with an annual output of 150,000 tons and one set of special epoxy resin plant with an annual output of 20,000 tons, as well as an advanced oxidation treatment plant for 350,000 tons of saline wastewater per year. After completion, this project will further expand the epoxy resin production capacity of Hunan Petrochemical, help the company to refine, strengthen and expand its epoxy resin products, reduce the import dependence of some high-performance liquid epoxy resins and special epoxy resins, improve market share and competitiveness, and contribute to the high-quality development of Sinopec¡äs new materials.
