Approval Granted for an Integrated Project of Jilin Province

Recently, the information released by Jilin Province¡äs online approval and supervision platform for investment projects shows that CHINT Solar¡¯s integrated project of producing 250,000 tons of green methanol and 20,000 tons of green aviation kerosene from wind and solar energy-generated green hydrogen (chemical phase I) has been put on record.
It is reported that the approved project (chemical phase I) part plans to build an integrated project with an annual output of 100,000 tons of green methanol and supporting facilities such as biomass carbon production and capture, electrolytic hydrogen production, storage and transportation, and public utilities. The planned construction period is from October 2024 to September 2026, with a total investment of 1.8 billion yuan.

The project plans to cover a total area of about 529,300 square meters and have a building area of about 130,200 square meters. The first-phase project is to build a green methanol plant with an annual output of 100,000 tons and related facilities. It plans to cover an area of about 239,600 square meters and have a construction area of about 66,700 square meters. The second phase will build a green methanol plant with an annual output of 150,000 tons and 20,000 tons of green aviation kerosene and related facilities. It plans to cover an area of about 289,800 square meters and have a construction area of about 63,500 square meters.
