Longi Signed an Integrated Project for Green Methanol Production

Recently, according to the website of the People¡äs Government of Urad Rear Banner, Urad Rear Banner and Longi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for an integrated project of green methanol production using wind, solar, hydrogen, and storage. The plan is to build a 1.05GW wind and solar power generation project, which will produce 54,000 tons of green hydrogen annually, which will be directly used to synthesize 400,000 tons of green methanol annually.
It is reported that the investment owner of this project is Urad Rear Banner Longfuqi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The supporting new energy scale is 1.05 million kilowatts, accompanied by a 157,500 kilowatt/315,000 kilowatt-hour energy storage system, with a designed hydrogen production capacity of 54,000 tons per year. The project is planned to invest 6.974 billion yuan, with construction scheduled to commence in 2025 and production expected to commence in 2026.
