The Largest Public Petrochemical Terminal in the Upper and Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River Opens for Operation
2024-8-29
Recently, the Jiangling Petrochemical Terminal of Jingzhou Port has officially opened for operation. The first cargo ship fully loaded with 3,000 tons of industrial acetic acid officially started operations. This batch of industrial acetic acid will be transported to the Yueyang Port in Hunan to complete the first order delivery of hazardous chemicals.
The Jiangling Petrochemical Terminal is the largest public petrochemical terminal approved so far in the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the first public petrochemical terminal in the Jianghan Plain. It has a total of five 3,000-ton liquid chemicals and oil berths and one firefighting and towing workboat berth, with a shoreline length of 718 meters and an annual design throughput capacity of 3.55 million tons. The construction of the 300,000 cubic meters of storage tanks and solid hazardous chemical warehouses supporting the storage base in the rear are being accelerated, and after completion, they will meet the transportation, storage, and trading needs of nearly 30 types of chemical products such as acetic acid, refined oil, methanol, ethylene glycol, toluene, heavy oil, and asphalt.
The Jiangling Petrochemical Terminal Project of Jingzhou Port seamlessly connects with the Jiangling Petrochemical Storage Base through the supporting 3-kilometer pipeline corridor, opens up the "public railway and waterway" logistics transportation network for the Jiangling Petrochemical Storage Base, realizes the interconnection between the Haoji Railway and the Yangtze River golden waterway, promotes the southbound integration of liquid chemicals in the energy golden triangle area and the northbound integration of bulk petrochemical products, realizes the "direct delivery of raw materials to factories and direct loading of products onto ships", and greatly improves logistics efficiency while reducing comprehensive logistics costs.
