Latest Progress of Tarim 1.2-million-ton Phase II Ethylene Project
2024-9-9
On the morning of August 29th, with the safe arrival of the 2 # propylene tower of the Tarim 1.2 million tons/year Phase II ethylene project of Huanqiu Beijing Company, the first 5 large towers including the quench water tower, quench oil tower, ethylene tower, 1 # propylene tower, and 2 # propylene tower that were hoisted from the ethylene unit were all gathered on site. Since the first equipment was launched on August 19th, it only took 10 days, and the average delivery time of the five towers was over a month ahead of schedule, creating a new achievement in the manufacturing and transportation of oversized equipment.
Within the short manufacturing cycle of 4-5 months for the 5 large towers, the project department actively integrated resources and coordinated all parties throughout the design, procurement, and construction stages. The design team broke the norm by reviewing the orientation of the large tower pipe in advance and producing drawings in batches to meet manufacturing requirements. The procurement team closely monitored the procurement and shipment of equipment manufacturing plant plates and forgings, and followed up with the early arrival of tower internals and organized timely arrival acceptance. The on-site construction team took the initiative to coordinate and provide services for the commencement and process, arranged regular safety inspections, organized welder entrance exams and conducted equipment pressure tests.
In order to achieve the transportation conditions for large items on Factory West Third Road on August 15th, the on-site management team organized the road construction unit to carry out uninterrupted construction for 4 consecutive days and nights. To complete the task of transporting 5 large towers to the site by the end of August, the transportation team worked overtime for 10 consecutive days at night to prepare for equipment transportation and ensure the safety of the transportation process.
The high standard early delivery and smooth transportation of 5 large towers have made the team gain new experience for the project department in the manufacturing and transportation of large equipment. Relying on this experience, the project team will continue to work hard, and do a good job in the manufacturing and transportation of over limit equipment in the future. It is expected to kick off the large-scale tower hoisting in September.
