On September 10, Fushun Petrochemical Company held a basic design review meeting for the bottleneck removal and energy efficiency improvement project of the 800,000 tons/year ethylene plant. The project utilizes the abundant resources of Daqing and Shenbei crude oil and the existing refining process to expand the capacity of the 800,000 tons/year ethylene plant to 950,000 tons/year. At the same time, energy efficiency improvement is implemented. The 160,000 tons/year butadiene extraction unit is expanded to 180,000 tons/year. The 40,000/80,000 tons/year 1-butene/MTBE unit is expanded to 50,000/100,000 tons/year. A new 200,000 tons/year solution polyethylene plant and a 150,000 tons/year polypropylene plant are built.
