On September 23rd, Weiyuan Chemical announced that its 300,000 tons/year direct oxidation epoxy propane plant has recently completed all processes and produced qualified products. As an important chain extension project of the company, this project takes propylene and hydrogen produced by its own propane dehydrogenation unit as raw materials, which can achieve direct supply of raw materials and energy. It is seen as another initiative in the development of the enterprise′s "casting chain, extending chain, supplementing chain, and strengthening chain" project, strengthening the comprehensive utilization of circulating materials and thermal energy between units, and achieving the extension of the industrial chain’s upstream and downstream sectors, further enhancing the resilience of the industrial chain, and improving the overall level and competitiveness of the company′s industrial chain.

It is reported that the epoxy propane project of Weiyuan Chemical takes the products produced by the company′s propane dehydrogenation project as the main feedstock, and utilizes the direct oxidation process of hydrogen peroxide to build a 300,000 tons/year of epoxy propane and 900,000 tons/year of hydrogen peroxide plant which is equipped with supporting public works and auxiliary production facilities. The investment reaches 3.53 billion yuan.
