Shenzhen Hemei Group issued an announcement on September 19 stating that its holding subsidiary, Pengfei Hydrogenbeauty plans to invest 3.135 billion yuan to build a "262.5MW wind power generation to produce 8,000 tons/year hydrogen chloride and 150,000 tons/year green methanol integrated project".

The total investment in the project is expected to be 3.135 billion yuan. Among them, about 1.320 billion yuan will be invested in the wind power part, and about 1.815 billion yuan will be invested in the hydrogen production and methanol production part.

The project specifically includes sub-projects such as wind power, green hydrogen production and green methanol production. It will invest in the construction of wind power stations, transmission lines, hydrogen and methanol production plants and related storage, energy storage facilities in Ningcheng County, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

It is understood that the construction period of the project is about 24 months and is divided into two stages. In the first stage, a 262.5MW wind power generation device will be built in Xizi Industrial Park, Ningcheng County. In the second stage, 80% of the non-grid-connected power generated by wind power will be used to produce 8,000 tons/year of green hydrogen through water electrolysis, and a 150,000 tons/year green methanol device produced by biomass gasification will be built in support.
