From September 4th to 5th, the National Epichlorohydrin Industry Chain Symposium was held in Yangzhou, attended by nearly 90 representatives from over 40 epichlorohydrin producers and related upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain. The symposium was hosted by Wang Li, Director of the Research Department of CCAIA, and opened with remarks by Zhang Peichao, Vice President and Secretary-General of CCAIA. Experts from CCAIA and related fields delivered special reports on policies related to epichlorohydrin, the status of upstream and downstream industries, advancements in the new process of producing epichlorohydrin through direct oxidation of allyl chloride with hydrogen peroxide, and the wet catalytic oxidation treatment process for high-salt wastewater. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on their production and operation status, challenges and issues faced, and suggestions for future work in the industry chain. During the symposium, participants visited Jiangsu Ruixiang Chemical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Group Co., Ltd. for exchange and observation.
