On August 27th, the Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment organized a discussion on the draft proposal for adding medium chain chlorinated paraffins to the Stockholm Convention in Beijing. Industry associations such as CPCIF, China Building Materials Federation, CCAIA, China Rubber Industry Association, China Plastics Processing Industry Association, China National Coatings Industry Association, China Polyurethane Industry Association, China Surface Engineering Association, as well as research institutions such as Peking University, Ecological Environment Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and National Environmental Analysis and Testing Center, as well as downstream enterprises including Zhejiang Double Arrow, Talent Biological Engineering, and Xinxiang Richful Lube Additive, attended the meeting. Among the participants were Zhang Peichao, Vice President and Secretary General of CCAIA, and Wang Li, Director of the Research Department. The attending representatives had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the specific exemptions, concentration limits, and scope of addition of medium chain chlorinated paraffins to the Convention.
