On September 4th, the Chemical Safety Sub-Technical Committee of the National Technical Committee for Work Safety Standardization held a meeting in Beijing to conduct technical reviews of two standards: the "Technical Specification for Chlorine Safety in Chemical Enterprises" and the "Technical Specification for Safety Monitoring and Control of Major Hazard Installations for Hazardous Chemicals." Key leaders from the First Department of Hazardous Chemicals Supervision of the Ministry of Emergency Management, representatives from CCAIA, the Chemical Safety Association, members of the Chemical Safety Sub-Technical Committee, and leading standard drafting organizations attended the meeting. Zhang Shoute, Deputy Secretary-General of CCAIA, was also present. Chaired by Cheng Changjin, Chief Engineer of the Chemical Safety Association, the meeting introduced the main content and technical highlights of the standards. Members of the Sub-Technical Committee inquired and discussed the content of the standards, and deliberated on whether to approve them. Song Honglin, Director, and Liu Li, Deputy Director of the First Department of Supervision, summarized the meeting and requested revisions based on expert opinions.
