Recently, the downstream alumina market has continued to rise, which has a certain driving effect on the liquid alkali market and increased the cost support for flakes.    
From the main production areas of caustic soda, as the caustic soda manufacturers in the later stage of maintenance have not resumed in Northwest China, the production remains insufficient. Local logistics mainly relies on automobile transportation, and railway transportation capacity is still in a tight state, putting inventory pressure on local producers. As the caustic soda plants have worked stably in North China without adjustments in utilization rates, transactions have been made smoothly. In the context of steady operating rates, the caustic soda plants in East China have seen their production remaining at the previous level and the inventory pressure relatively small, mainly supplying contracts. Meanwhile, there is an increasing number of export orders signed in the flake alkali markets in South China and Southwest China, with a certain growth in market transactions and traders’ stocks remaining relatively reasonable.
The main downstream alumina market is on the rise, with most facilities operating at high capacity and a few new units being put into operation, contributing to more caustic soda purchases. The textile and printing and dyeing sectors have operated steadily, consuming and purchasing caustic soda on demand.
