The Phase III-2 Expansion Project of Wanhua Chemical¡äs TPU was Successfully Handed Over

Recently, the Phase III-2 Expansion Project of Yantai Wanhua¡äs TPU, which was constructed by the Fourteenth Company affiliated to China National Chemical Corporation, was successfully handed over. The newly added TPU production line in this project is currently the TPU production line with the largest single-line production capacity in the world.
Last November, Wanhua Chemical publicized the information before submitting for approval of the environmental impact report for the expansion project of thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer with an annual output of 120,000 tons (Phase II modification).
The project with this modification is the second stage of Phase III. The main modification contents include two aspects: the change of raw and auxiliary materials and the change of the production line. The production capacity of the project remains unchanged before and after the modification, but the main construction contents have been adjusted, including the construction of 3 new polyol production lines and 2 TPU production lines, with a production scale of 40,000 tons/year of polyester polyol and 50,000 tons/year of TPU.
It is reported that the TPU plants in Wanhua Chemical¡äs Yantai Industrial Park are constructed in three phases, and all have obtained the environmental assessment procedures. The total TPU production capacity reaches 210,000 tons/year. Among them, the Phase I project constructs a 60,000 tons/year polyol plant and a 60,000 tons/year TPU plant; the Phase II project constructs a 25,000 tons/year polyol plant and a 30,000 tons/year TPU plant; the Phase III project constructs a 90,000 tons/year polyol plant and a 120,000 tons/year TPU plant.
