On November 13th, the first phase of the Jilin Da′an Integrated Demonstration Project of Wind and Solar Hydrogen Production Coupled with Biomass Green Methanol was registered.

Da′an Chengyang Green Hydrogen Energy Co., Ltd. intends to invest 1.66 billion yuan to construct main installations such as electrolytic water hydrogen production, biomass gasification, and methanol synthesis, as well as supporting facilities and storage and transportation projects in the Da′an Economic Development Zone of Baicheng. The total area of buildings and structures is approximately 193,960 square meters, and the designed production capacity is about 200,000 tons of green methanol per year. The project is scheduled to start in June 2025. Huoyan Hydrogen Energy has learned that Da′an Chengyang Green Hydrogen Energy Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned sub-subsidiary of Sunlight New Energy. On May 17th, 2024, the New Energy Equipment Manufacturing and Hydrogen-based Industry Project of Sunlight New Energy in Da′an City officially started.

Sunlight New Energy plans to introduce an investment of approximately 12.6 billion yuan. Among them, it plans to introduce an investment of 3 billion yuan to build an equipment manufacturing industrial park, including multi-technology-route energy storage battery projects and an annual production of 6,000 tons of nano-silicon-carbon anode material projects; it plans to introduce an investment of 9.6 billion yuan to build a 1GW hydrogen-based green energy demonstration zone, equipped with wind power, photovoltaic power, and corresponding green hydrogen production, green methanol production and some chemical production and living facilities, to assist in the construction of green power conversion projects and industrial development, and it is planned to be completed and put into production in June 2027. After the whole project is completed and reaches full production capacity, the annual output value of 8.4 billion yuan can be achieved.
