Recently, the PVC market in Central China has remained dominated by a wait-and-see transaction atmosphere. With the gradual restart of the previously overhauled facilities, local supply of goods is relatively abundant, leaving the PVC inventory at a relatively high level. At the same time, downstream demand has not picked up as users purchase at a slow rate. Compounded by the decline in export orders, regional PVC manufacturers feel a growing pressure on sales. Despite long term positive macroeconomic expectations, the short-term support for the market is relatively limited.
