On November 28th, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province announced the list of Provincial Energy Efficiency Leaders in key industries for 2024. Yaxing New Materials, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yaxing Chemical, was successfully selected. It is the only enterprise in the caustic soda industry in Weifang City to be included in this list.

In recent years, taking the opportunity of relocating from the urban area to the industrial park, Yaxing Chemical has actively promoted the energy-saving, carbon reduction, transformation and upgrading of the 120,000 tons/year ion-exchange membrane caustic soda plant.

The comprehensive energy consumption per unit product of the caustic soda plant reached 290.56 kgce/t in 2023, a 5.9% decrease compared with the comprehensive energy consumption per unit product in the energy-saving report, with an annual energy-saving amount of 2,115.19 tce. Compared with that before the relocation and transformation, it decreased by 9.2%, with an annual energy-saving amount of 3,740.90 tce.

In the next step, Yaxing Chemical will adhere to the concept of green and low-carbon development, continuously carry out energy-saving and carbon reduction transformations, steadily promote the green transformation, accelerate the construction of a green factory, and achieve new leaps in green and low-carbon development.
