The 2024 National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Science and Technology Innovation Conference, hosted by CPCIF, kicked off in Dalian, Liaoning Province from October 15th to 16th. Among the participants were leaders, experts, scholars, and representatives from the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Intellectual Property Administration, National Energy Administration, Liaoning Province, Dalian City, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, universities, research institutes and enterprises. Zhang Shoute, Vice Secretary General of CCAIA also attended the meeting. With the theme of "Development of New Quality Productivity and Promotion of High-quality Development of the Industry through Innovation and Self-reliance", the conference attendees exchanged information about coal chemical industry, oil refining, new materials, fine chemicals, electronic chemicals, epoxy industry, catalysis, safety, process strengthening, carbon emission reduction, clean energy and intellectual property rights. During the conference, the 2024 National Petroleum and Chemical Technology Innovation Achievements and Equipment Exhibition kicked off, with conference representatives visiting the Chinese Academy of Sciences Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics and Dalian Changxing Island Economic and Technological Development Zone.
