Ethylene¡¯s Downstream Integration Project of Luxi Group Expected to Undergo a Trial Run in December 2024

Recently, the construction information of ethylene¡¯s downstream integrated project of Luxi Chemical Group Co., Ltd. has been made public.
It is a provincial green, low-carbon, and high-quality development project located in Liaocheng Chemical Industry Park. The project has a total investment of 1.186 billion yuan, covering an area of 62,000 square meters and a construction area of 102,177 square meters. The project includes the construction of facilities such as acetaldehyde, propanol, propionic acid, and n-propyl acetate units, as well as supporting public works. A total of 1892 sets of main production equipment and auxiliary equipment were purchased for the project. After the completion, the project will bring an annual output of 160,000 tons of propanol, 80,000 tons of propionic acid, 80,000 tons of n-propyl acetate, and 240,000 tons of acetaldehyde. Construction deadline: expected to start trial operation in December 2024.

In the first stage, a 120,000 ton/year acetaldehyde plant, 80,000 ton/year n-propanol plant, and a 40,000 ton/year propionic acid plant will be built. In the second phase, the construction includes a 120,000 ton/year acetaldehyde plant, an 80,000 ton/year n-propanol plant, a 40,000 ton/year propionic acid plant, and an 80,000 ton/year propyl acetate plant, including ethylene purifiers, synthesis gas purifiers, formylation reactors, acetaldehyde distillation towers, tail gas absorption towers, tail gas analysis towers, tail gas distillation towers, acetaldehyde hydrogenation reactors, propanol light removal towers, propanol weight removal towers, propionic acid reactors, absorption towers, propionic acid distillation towers RCO and other equipment are equipped with supporting facilities such as formaldehyde finished product tanks, propanol finished product tanks, propionic acid finished product tanks, propyl acetate finished product tanks, acetic acid raw material tanks, acetaldehyde intermediate tanks, propanol intermediate tanks, propionic acid intermediate tanks, propyl acetate intermediate tanks, catalyst tanks, waste liquid tanks, refrigeration units, etc. Other public auxiliary facilities of this project rely on existing engineering and facilities within the park.
