Recently, the Science and Technology Department of Hubei Province released the list of new R & D institutions in Hubei Province in 2024, and the Hubei Province Modern Coal Chemical Industry Technology Innovation Consortium was on the list.

It is reported that this consortium is led by Hualu-Hengsheng (Jingzhou) Co., Ltd., and jointly participated in the application and construction by 13 enterprises and universities including China Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd. and Hubei Heju Polymer Materials Co., Ltd. Relying on leading enterprises in the industry, it is jointly established by combining scientist teams and integrating high-quality resources within the industry. It is one of the types of new R & D institutions at the provincial level in Hubei and can provide new knowledge for enterprises to conduct cross-border cooperation and innovate production models. Relying on this consortium, Jingzhou City will closely focus on the frontier technologies and applied basic research of coal chemical industry, drive upstream and downstream enterprises, and build a joint innovation system that combines industry, academia, research and application.
