Guoen Dongming Plans to Build a New 80,000 Epoxy Propane Project

Recently, the largest polystyrene production line in Asia, Guoen Chemical¡äs high-end chemical new materials and supporting project, which was restructured and invested by Qingdao Guoen Technology Co., Ltd., has resumed work and production. It is planned to officially start production before the Spring Festival.
The predecessor of Guoen Chemical¡äs high-end chemical new materials and supporting projects was CITIC Guoan Chemical Co., Ltd. With the support of the party committees and governments at the city and county levels, the original 11 main companies including CITIC Guoan Chemical were reorganized in accordance with the law and renamed Guoen Chemical (Dongming) Co., Ltd.
After Guoen took over, it gradually injected 240 million yuan of employee security funds and 300 million yuan of special production start-up funds. At present, Guoen Dongming has started the production of 200,000 tons of styrene per year and 80,000 tons of epoxy propane per year, as well as supporting public engineering facilities. Subsequently, it will gradually start the resumption of work and production of 200,000 tons of methanol to mixed aromatic hydrocarbons, 50,000 tons of methyl styrene, 50,000 tons of isobutene, 200,000 tons of mixed aromatic hydrocarbon hydrogenation and other series of units according to the plan. It is expected to achieve a production value of 4-5 billion yuan and a profit and tax of over 300 million yuan next year, creating 1100 job opportunities.
In the future, Guoen Chemical will continue to invest in the construction of high impact HIPS, PHB biodegradable plastics, isononac acid and other projects. It is expected that the output value of Guoen Chemical Dongming Co., Ltd. will reach 10 billion yuan by 2026.
