Recently, the information that Hualu-Hengsheng (Jingzhou) Co., Ltd. plans to construct a 300,000-ton-per-year TDI project was released on relevant websites. It is reported that on November 15, 2024, the 300,000-ton-per-year TDI project of Hualu-Hengsheng was filed with the Hubei Development and Reform Commission. According to the news on November 28, the project is currently going through preliminary procedures, and the design and construction work has not yet started. It is in the planning and feasibility study stage.

This project plans to build a 360,000-ton-per-year DNT unit, a 600,000-ton-per-year waste acid concentration unit, a 230,000-ton-per-year TDA unit, and a 300,000-ton-per-year TDI unit. It will also build supporting facilities including a 300,000-ton-per-year ion-exchange membrane caustic soda unit (more than 40% of which uses industrial waste salt for ion-exchange membrane caustic soda production), a 270,000-ton-per-year nitric acid unit, a 210,000-ton-per-year ammonium chloride unit and other public and auxiliary facilities (if the construction involves hazardous chemicals, it shall be submitted to the emergency management department for approval).
