Shandong INOV Plans to Build 300,000 Tons/Year of Epoxy Propane

On December 30, 2024, the Ecological Environment Bureau of Zibo City issued a notice to publish the Environmental Impact Assessment Report of Shandong INOV New Materials Co., Ltd.¡äs 300,000 tons/year epoxy propane and epoxy ethane downstream derivative project (re approved).
Project Name: 300,000 tons/year downstream derivative project of epoxypropane and epoxyethane.
Construction unit: Shandong Yinuowei New Materials Co., Ltd.
Construction location: Main area of Qilu Chemical Industry Zone, Zibo City
Project investment: Of the total investment of 721 million yuan, 32.19 million yuan is invested in environmental protection, accounting for 4.46%.
Land area: 117151.24m2 (approximately 175.73 acres)
Labor quota and work system: 200 new labor quotas. The company adopts a three shift system, each for 8 hours, with an annual working hours of 7200 hours (equivalent to 300 days).
Construction period: 12 months.
Construction content: The project includes the planned construction of 12 production lines for high-end functional polyether polyol series products and 2 production lines for high-end polymer polyol (POP) products. After completed, the project is expected to achieve an annual output of 200,000 tons of high-end functional polyether polyols and 100,000 tons of high-end polymer polyols (POP).
Approved by the Zibo Ecological Environment Bureau on December 31, 2021, the Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the 300,000 Tons/Year Epoxy Propane and Epoxy Ethane Downstream Derivative Project of Shandong Yinuowei New Materials is currently being leveled. According to the approved environmental impact assessment, the project originally planned to produce 130,000 tons/year of high-end functional polyether polyols, 90,000 tons/year of high-end polymer polyols (POP), 50,000 tons/year of environmentally friendly polyurethane adhesive products, and 30,000 tons/year of polyurethane flame retardant series products.
During the later implementation of the project, the enterprise replanned the product plan based on changes in market demand, and made adjustments to related raw and auxiliary materials and fuels, overall material storage, project layout, environmental protection measures, etc. Therefore, the environmental impact assessment is hereby resubmitted for approval.
