According to statistics, in 2024, there were 42 full-process titanium dioxide production enterprises in the industry with normal production conditions (excluding post-processing enterprises). The total output of rutile-type (including crude and finished products of the full-process sulfuric acid method and chlorination-process products), anatase-type titanium dioxide and other related products produced by these 42 enterprises reached 4.766 million tons, an increase of 0.606 million tons or 14.57% compared with the previous year.

Among the total 4.766 million tons of titanium dioxide and related products, the output of rutile-type products was 4.051 million tons, accounting for 85.00% of the total output, a decrease of 1.54 percentage points compared with the previous year; the output of anatase-type products was 0.56 million tons, accounting for 11.75% of the total output, an increase of 1.64 percentage points compared with the previous year; the output of non-pigment-grade and other types of products was 0.156 million tons, accounting for 3.27%, a decrease of 0.1 percentage point compared with the previous year.

Among the total 4.766 million tons of titanium dioxide output, the output of chlorination-process products was 0.663 million tons, a decrease of 0.029 million tons or 4.19% compared with the previous year. This was the first annual decline in the output of chlorination-process products in recent years.

In 2024, the output of chlorination-process products accounted for 13.91% of the total titanium dioxide output, a decrease of 2.72 percentage points year-on-year; and accounted for 16.37% of the output of rutile-type products, a decrease of 2.85 percentage points year-on-year.
