Tianjin Hangu Salt Field was Awarded the Title of "National Green Factory"

It was learned from Tianjin Hangu Salt Field on February 4th that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released the "2024 Green Manufacturing List". Tianjin Hangu Salt Field was awarded the honorary title of "National Green Factory" for its outstanding performance in green manufacturing, green management, green applications and green products.
Tianjin Hangu Salt Field was awarded the title of "National Green Factory", which is a result of deeply practicing the new development concept and prioritizing green development. It marks the recognition of green development by the nation.
In 2006, Tianjin Hangu Salt Field developed the first set of vacuum refined edible salt production equipment in China using saturated brine from beach drying as raw material, completely changing the long-standing method of melting raw salt production and opening up a new path for the production of refined edible salt from sea salt. In 2020, relying on technological innovation and scientific research and development, Tianjin Hangu Saltern launched an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of edible salt project. With MES system as the core, it completed the integration and interconnection with automation systems/equipment and various information systems, thus achieving the integrated application of "Internet plus" technology in production practice.
During the 14th Five Year Plan period, Tianjin Hangu Salt Field continued to build a green development path and actively promoted the green upgrading of the industrial chain and supply chain through cutting-edge technologies such as digitization and intelligence.
In 2022, Tianjin Hangu Salt Field collaborated with Goldwind Technology to construct a 12.9MW decentralized captive surplus electricity wind power generation project. It is the first decentralized wind power project in China¡¯s salt industry and also the largest one in Tianjin now. Tianjin Hangu Salt Field has become a benchmark for the use of new energy to drive the industry in domestic salt industry.
The low sodium salt, crushed washing salt, natural crystal salt of seawater and other edible salt products produced by Tianjin Hangu Salt Field are all green food and have won the "Green Food" certification certificate. In 2022, it was awarded the Ecological Origin Product Protection Certificate and the Ecological Sea Salt Certificate. Through management measures such as selecting low-carbon materials and reducing processing losses, the total carbon emissions have been decreasing year by year, and the carbon emissions per unit product of edible salt have reached an advanced level in the industry.
According to Tianjin Hangu Salt Field, in the next step, it will take "green factories" and "low-carbon factories" as the starting point to actively explore new paths for green development, continue to increase investment in green technology, promote the application of low-carbon and energy-saving technologies, gradually build a green and low-carbon industrial layout and write a new chapter in the high-quality development of the millennium salt field.
