Recently, LG Chem announced that its subsidiary, LG Chem (Tianjin) Engineering Plastics Co., Ltd., has been awarded the UL 2799 Platinum-Level Zero-Landfill Waste Verification. It has become the third manufacturing enterprise of LG Chem in China to obtain this verification, following the Quzhou plant and the Guangzhou plant.

The LG Chem Tianjin plant mainly produces engineering plastic products. Through measures such as recycling waste generated during the production process, developing green suppliers, recycling raw material transportation materials, and meticulous waste classification, approximately 692 tons of waste were 100% converted in 2024. As a result, the plant received the UL 2799 Platinum-Level Zero-Landfill Waste Verification issued by UL Solutions.
